About The Brain Domain

So, what is the Brain Domain?

Simply, the Brain Domain is a scientific community project, to help young neuroscientists improve their science writing skills, and simultaneously facilitate an environment for non-neuroscientists to learn more about neuroscience.

Ok, what do you mean by Neuroscience?

For those not familiar with the field, you probably don’t know that there is a lot of contention around what actually is and is not ‘neuroscience’. Traditionally, neuroscience is the study of the biology of the brain. However, nowadays it’s more commonly considered an interdisciplinary subject, and neuroscientists can come from all kinds of backgrounds and professions. The one thing we can still say for certain is that neuroscience is a scientific pursuit that aims to study and understand the central nervous system.

Who is involved in the Brain Domain?

The project is managed by a dedicated team of early career neuroscience researchers, each with different backgrounds and interests. Our writers can be neuroscientists or other kinds of scientists with an interest in neuroscience. We also encourage submissions from health care professionals, and from people with personal experiences of mental health. To learn more, visit our people page.

Can I get involved?

YES! We’re keen to recruit more writers, and build our community. If you’re interested then either contact us or check out the submission guide page. If you don’t want to write for us, but would like to get involved in another way then that’s fine too! Again, just send us a message on the contact us page.
